By-Laws

The purpose of this club is to support civic, charitable fund raising car shows;

promote young peoples participation in this or other car clubs; and to

participate in family oriented club activities.

This club is open to both male and female car enthusiasts who are age 16 and up. A child under 16 who parent is a member is considered to be an exofficio member.

Prospective members will visit a meeting and be given copies of the by-laws. membership voting will be at next meeting. (Prospective members will not be present)

New members must be approved by a majority vote. Voting will be by a show of hands unless otherwise requested.

Each member is required not to drink alcoholic beverages, use profanity, show disorderly conduct at any meeting, car show, or club activity. Any member may be dismissed by majority vote for drinking, profanity, disorderly conduct, and may be asked to return any clothing that bears club name.

Heartland Cruisers shall have the following Officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Phone Committee Chairman and Car Show Chairman (as needed), shall be elected but are not considered club officers. Officers will be elected at November meeting each year. Officers take over at the January meeting. The term of office is limited to two years, but are eligible for re-election after one year. Election of officers will be by secret ballot unless otherwise requested.

Any absentee votes must be by sealed envelope and only directly from a member.

Annual club membership fee per member to be set each January. Membership dues are now $10.00 per year for each member over 16 years of age. Dues should be paid by March 31. a reminder letter or call will be made and dues should be paid at next meeting. if no action is taken by member they will no longer be considered a member. Failure to pay dues will be brought up at the following meeting for discussion of termination of membership.

Operating monies are to be kept in treasury to carry over for future car show or other expenses.
